GLENBURN CLASSIC SPRING GREEN TEA
An unusually sweet Darjeeling Green tea, from a legendary estate. Green tea drinkers will especially enjoy this offering from the Glenburn estates. Less bitter than the typical Indian green tea, this one is almost sweet with a milky character. Also recommended for those new to this type of tea. The liquor is very smooth with the pleasant characteristics of the Darjeeling green tea. Notes of cooked vegetable and herbs come out strongly, and as soon as the tea hits the palate. It finishes on a somewhat milky aftertaste, with a subtle and persistent sweetness.
GLENBURN TEA ESTATE, DARJEELING, INDIA
Established in 1859, Glenburn is one of the oldest estates of Darjeeling. It is located in a lush green valley with two rivers, Rungdung and Rangeet, flowing across the garden. Certified by Rain Forest Alliance and Ethical trade partnership, Glenburn tea estate operates with a total plantation area of 285.5 Hectares. Situated at an elevation of 240 – 640 meters above sea level, this region receives an average rainfall of 1900 mm per year. With environmental conditions ideal for tea farming, coupled with the loamy texture of its soil, Glenburn produces about 500 kilograms of exotic teas every year. A tea coming from Glenburn makes for light-bodied liquor with exotic floral aroma.
