AMGOORIE CTC BOP BLACK TEAEnjoy a rich, full-bodied taste with deep malty notes, perfect for making a robust milk tea or a refreshing black tea. Renowned for its intense and well-balanced profile, this exceptional breakfast beverage offers a bold, robust liquor with a distinctive golden hue. Sourced exclusively from a single estate, it remains unblended, ensuring a unique and exclusive experience. Meticulously chosen tea leaves guarantee purity, freshness, and a consistently invigorating cup with every brew. Each batch is meticulously crafted using the CTC (Crush-Tear-Curl) method for processing black tea. In this process, withered leaves are crushed, torn, and curled into small, hard pellets, preserving the tea's inherent strength and flavour consistency. The tea brews into a deep golden liquor, delivering a strong, malty flavour with a smooth finish, making it an ideal choice for both breakfast and evening tea. Whether you seek a strong morning tea, a relaxing evening cup, or an energising chai, this tea provides the perfect refreshment. Esteemed by tea sommeliers and sought after by blenders worldwide, Amgoorie exemplifies Assam’s rich tea heritage and Goodricke’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
AMGOORIE TEA ESTATE, ASSAM, INDIA. The Amgoorie Tea Estate stands as a beacon of innovation, originally developed by the visionary Col. Sir James Buckingham. In 1931, Sir W.G. McKercher transformed the tea manufacturing industry with his invention of the CTC (Crush-Tear-Curl) machine, right here at Amgoorie. Located on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra River, the estate shares a boundary with Nagaland. The name "Amgoorie" is derived from the words "AAM," meaning mango, and "GURI," meaning roots, reflecting the abundance of mango trees in the vicinity. In 2010, a state-of-the-art factory was constructed, setting new standards in modernity, hygiene, and environmental sustainability within the tea industry. The estate's fertile alluvial soil and tropical climate produce tea leaves rich in body and aroma, resulting in a cup as vibrant as the land itself. Continuous enhancement of planting materials with superior clones over the years has elevated Amgoorie teas to the ranks of the top CTC estates in Assam, with a quality highly sought after both domestically and internationally.
