KORAKUNDAH TEA ESTATE, NILGIRI, INDIAKorakundah tea estate is a part of the UNTE (United Nilgiri Tea Estates), which was founded by Sir Robert Stanes in the year 1922. The Company acquired Korakundah Estate from the Tea Estates India Limited in the year 1954. Spread across more than 2200 acres of undulating hilly terrains of the Nilgiris, this estate is one of the largest and the highest tea gardens in the country, with tea planted at 7,920ft. above mean sea level. Korakundah is 100 per cent organic with 275 hectares under tea plantation at present.
