PASCOE'S WOODLAND CHUN MEE GREEN TEA
Chun Mee is a renowned variety of Chinese green tea, celebrated for its unique appearance and refreshing flavour profile. The name "Chun Mee" translates to "precious eyebrow" in Chinese, aptly reflecting the delicate, elegant shape of its leaves, which resemble finely arched eyebrows. This premium Chun Mee is meticulously hand-picked from the verdant tea gardens of Craigmore Estate, where sustainable farming practices and rich biodiversity contribute to its exceptional quality. The tea undergoes a careful pan-firing process at Pascoe’s Woodland tea factory, a method designed to preserve its fresh, green flavour. The leaves are skillfully rolled into a distinctive curved shape before being dried, refining their visual appeal and taste. Chun Mee Green Tea is cherished for its light and invigorating taste, characterised by a subtly tangy and fruity flavour profile with a hint of sweetness. Like all green teas, Chun Mee is celebrated for its natural health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, especially catechins, this distinctive tea supports overall well-being and makes a refreshing, health-conscious choice for your everyday enjoyment. Whether enjoyed hot or cold, Chun Mee offers a delightful and invigorating experience, inviting you to savour its gently unfolding flavours with every sip.
PASCOE'S WOODLAND, NILGIRIS, INDIA.
Perched in the picturesque Nilgiris at an elevation of 5,500 feet, the unique combination of high-elevation soil and climate creates optimal conditions for cultivating some of the world’s finest teas. Pascoe’s Woodland is one of two tea factories managed by Craigmore Plantation in Southern India. This manufacturing facility serves as the main tea processing centre for Craigmore estate for the production of high-grown orthodox teas sourced from the estate's own plantation and neighbouring gardens. Specialising in high-grown, pan-fired green teas, Pascoe’s Woodland produces approximately 700,000 kilograms annually. Notably, the pan-fired green teas from Pascoe’s Woodland are recognised for their superior antioxidant levels, having higher polyphenol and EGCG content compared to their steamed counterparts. Approximately 40% of the factory's green tea production is exported to the European Union, where it meets stringent EU regulations, including rigorous limits on pesticide residues. This commitment to quality and safety ensures that Pascoe’s Woodland's teas are not only exceptional in flavour but also environmentally sustainable.
